For the better part of a decade, the electronic dance music scene has been powered by an undercurrent, and its name is Tittsworth. With poppin’ tracks ranging from moombahton to progressive house, the world-famous DJ/producer is considered one of the most influential artists in the Baltimore-club genre.
Jesse Tittsworth saw his star rise as a local in the D.C. scene in 2004. While developing his musical tastes and mastering his unique style on on the 1s and 2s, the Chinese-American rock star flipped clubs upside-down on the East Coast before hitting the road. During this time, he played multiple dance festivals, including Switzerland’s Shambhala and Canada’s Electron, as well as toured around the world.
Tittsworth established T&A Records in 2006, where he dropped the very first “official” moombahton track. In 2008, he released his first full-length album, 12 Steps, on Plant Records, which took the scene by storm. Billboard, DJ Mag, and many other electronic dance critics couldn’t get enough of Tittsworth’s work, which prompted the subsequent release of multiple EPs.
Since then, Tittsworth has helped open D.C.’s U Street Music Hall and is fully set to make 2013 a year for electronic dance music fans to remember. He’s currently working with EDM superstars such as Laidback Luke to bring his audience new, innovative material. Get excited, people. And be ready to have your chests bounce.
