Halloween 2012 marks the launch of DJZ, a brand new company dedicated to DJ culture and the crazy world of electronic dance music.
The Z stands for Gen Z
: those born since the early 1990s who do not remember a time before the internet. They are watching YouTube videos, sharing Instagram pictures, texting their friends — often at the same time. They love the energy, creativity, and endless remixing of DJ culture but are missing a brand that connects their passion for this music with the multiple screens and devices that make up their everyday life.
brings together the best of electronic dance music and DJ culture into one crazy, engaging place: original articles, curated videos, killer mixes, and DJ profiles. Every artist has their own unique character, instantly turning them into cartoon rock stars.
, our iPhone app, ushers in the world of musical texting. If you can text with emojis, you can make electronic dance music with DJZtxt. It’s a free app that’s stupid-simple to use and allows you to make amazing mixes to share with your friends.
The DJZ team
is a group of people with mad skills who share a passion for music in general, EDM in particular, ice cream specifically, and pizza and rainbows.
