- 07 Skrillex / Summit feat Ellie GouldingSummit shows off the sexy side of Skrillex, and gives us a nice cool-down point in the playlist. I'm not sure where Ellie Goulding is in the song. The main vocals are definitely Skrillex himself. Her vocals must be the ones that are sampled, pitched, and chopped to tiny bits. This vocal trick still sounds fresh to my ears. Detailed and impressive production, as usual.
- 08 Skrillex / Kill EverybodyCrowd-pleasing favorite from the Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites EP. I listen to this every morning, first thing when I wake up. It's better than coffee.
- 09 Wolfgang Gartner / Fire Power (Original Mix)Skrillex may have popularized the "Complextro" style, but artists like Wolfgang Gartner have been producing hyperactive tunes for years. Listen to the variety of sounds switching in and out during the drop. Bonus: Music producers refer to this technique as "checkerboarding."
