Friday's Fresh Tracks #1

Each week, DJZ brings you the freshest, filthiest tracks that you can throw down to make sure the room is moving to the beat. This week we bring you a sampling that ranges from a Laidback Luke preview to a moombahton smash from an up-and-coming duo that you’ve got to hear.

  • 01 DJ Chukie + Junxter / Make Some Noise (Laidback Luke Remix) (Preview)
This action-packed explosion of a preview dropped on Laidback Luke's SoundCloud just a few days ago. Hang tight and wait for the remix - it's sure to be a beast.
  • 02 The Hi Yahs / Get Hot (Original Mix)
Make sure your systems (or headphones!) are cranked up for this bad boy. Rising bass-music duo The Hi Yahs dropped a huge moombahton smasher this week that's sure to make your head bounce. All over the place. Make sure it doesn't fall off. Check the rest of the Lazer Bacon EP out on their SoundCloud.
  • 03 All That Glitters / This Sound (Felix Cartal Remix)
Check out Felix Cartal's remix of "This Sound" by All That Glitters, a project comprised of EDM songstress Polina as well as Mark Alston and Peter Mayes of the Australian duo PNAU. The track electro houses the living crap out of the original with an epic build (and fun series of drops, naturally) that're sure to keep you dancing.
  • 04 Grizmatik / DLIMF
Griz and Gramatik have joined forces to bring you the Grizmatik project, intended to "show you how to weaponize the uranium and cause electro soul devastation." The result is some beautiful, wobbly electro soul, akin to that of scene pioneer Pretty Lights.
  • 05 Mayhem x Antiserum / Bricksquad Anthem
Saved the best for last, and with good reason. Mayhem x Antiserum have teamed up, yet again, to bring another trap-influenced dance-floor banger to the table, even while every DJ I've seen in the last month is still dropping their "Bricksquad Anthem" at the height of their sets. Only good things can come from this.

About DJZ 10

The DJZ/10 is a collection of ten DJs that we think you should know about now. Some of them are already familiar to you, others you may have never heard of. The list is not based on (1) a secret computer algorithm, (2) social media popularity, or (3) payola. Every month or so we get together to decide if somebody from the broader A…Z directory is about to break out and should be included in the DJZ/10, or if somebody already on the list, for that matter, is “phoning it in” and deserved to be replaced by another DJ who is more worthy.
