New Year's Eve Party Guide

New Year’s Eve falls on a Monday night, leaving a whole weekend of NYE shenanigans to make sure 2013 starts with a face full of bass. (One club in Miami actually has a week’s worth of EDM parties for NYE.) So here’s a guide to all the best parties — just a little help to make sure you don’t end up on the couch, cuddling a bag of chips before the ball drops. Also, uh, hopefully you have a few days off school to recover afterwards. See bottom for age limits.
Friday:
Pretty Lights and Bassnectar will be putting on a double-headliner show dubbed BassLights in Virginia at the Hampton Arena.
The Wintersalt festival in San Francisco will be launching off with Dillon Francis, Zedd and more tearing up Fort Mason.
In Las Vegas, Tiesto is also scheduled for XS and Steve Aoki will be taking over Surrender.
Miami will see Benny Benassi at LIV.
Saturday:
A second night of BassLights will be going down in Hampton, Virginia.
Back in San Francisco the always roaming Steve Aoki will be at the Warfield with an after party at Ruby Skye, and he also plans to be in Fresno that night. Also in SF, Wintersalt will be wrapping up with Diplo and DJ Shadow at the top of the bill.
In Dallas, the three-day Lights All Night festival will kick off with Tiesto, Avicii and Flux Pavilion headlining at Fair Park. Down in Miami at LIV, Dada Life will be the main attraction.
Back at Surrender in Vegas, Calvin Harris will be man of the hour, Kaskade will be at Marquee, and Steve Angello at XS. In Lake Tahoe, the three-day SnowGlobe festival begins with Minnesota, Dam Funk, Baauer, and more.
Sunday:
In Sin City, Avicii will be at Marquee; Skrillex will be holding down Surrender; and Deadmau5 will be at XS with an unhooked set.
Round two of Lights All Night will be smashing through Dallas with Bassnectar, Calvin Harris, A-Trak and more.
Tahoe gets a second sweep of SnowGlobe with Deadmau5, Flosstradamus, Madeon and others.
Monday (New Year’s Eve):
The 15th annual Together As One celebration (lineup not yet dropped) will be bumping in LA.
Meanwhile in Brooklyn, the Dada Land Compound with Dada Life is destined to be absolutely ridiculous. And the Bang On! party people will be headlining Felix Cartal at a nearby Bushwick locale. UPDATE: DJZ peeps will be repping at the Bang On! party, so if you see us there with our LED lighters and blingy 2013 glasses, say “Hey!”
Bassnectar will be in Nashville by then for his special 360-show, where he’ll play from a rotating stage in the middle of the room.
Lights All Night wraps up in Dallas with Nero, Diplo, Axwell and others.
Benny Benassi will be at Marquee in Vegas while Avicii heads over to XS.
In Miami, Calvin Harris also has a bash planned at LIV while Alesso will be at the W Hotel.
Sea of Dreams will be taking place with The Glitch Mob and others in the Exhibition Center in San Fran.
SnowGlobe will be ringing in the new year in Tahoe with Laidback Luke and more.
