The boys in Swedish House Mafia recently announced one more stop on their “One Last Tour” that’s sure to do some good in the world.
The Black Tie Rave benefit show goes down on Feb 28th at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. The Mafia completely waived their usual performance fees and their entire crew will be working for free. 100 percent of the net proceeds will go to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City and the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund.
Says SHM: “New York City has been a massive part of our journey and there was no better way to say thank you than to help out along with so many other worthwhile events. We had the night off in NYC before our Madison Square Garden gig… and what better way to spend it!”
Tickets will be available, auction-style, from Dec 14th to the 16th at Ticketmaster.
Swedish House Mafia were recently nominated for a Grammy for their show-stopping single “Don’t You Worry Child.” Check out the official live video below:
The DJZ/10 is a collection of ten DJs that we think you should know about now. Some of them are already familiar to you, others you may have never heard of. The list is not based on (1) a secret computer algorithm, (2) social media popularity, or (3) payola. Every month or so we get together to decide if somebody from the broader A…Z directory is about to break out and should be included in the DJZ/10, or if somebody already on the list, for that matter, is “phoning it in” and deserved to be replaced by another DJ who is more worthy.
